Overview
The Plant Pathology Section provides the plant disease diagnostic services and conducts a citrus germplasm introduction program for the FDACS-DPI. The agency-wide goal of protecting Florida agriculture very often begins with accurate diagnosis of plant problems. The section is available to address all manner of plant problems from any source as they may relate to the diverse native, naturalized and cultivated flora of Florida. Disease management recommendations are offered where appropriate and available. The personnel in the section are also dedicated to keeping informed about plant diseases exotic to Florida in order to be prepared for potential introductions of new pathogens.
